A quiet place to write, read, and remember.
Sojourner is a journal for people who want their words and the Word to keep close company.
The name Sojourner comes from the Scriptural picture of a person passing through — present in the place, attentive to it, but not finally rooted in it. We thought it was a fitting word for a journal: a place to set down what's true today, knowing it's only one stop on a longer road.
Most journaling apps either treat your writing like content to be monetized, or treat your faith like a feature to be bolted on at the end. We wanted neither. Sojourner was built around a small idea: the moments that move you, and the verses that meet you in them, deserve to live in the same calm room.
So Sojourner is a writing app first — fast, comfortable, and forgiving. And it's a Bible reader, sitting right beside it, in the translations you actually use, with bookmarks and verse attachments that follow your story. No streaks. No social feed. No algorithmic nudges. Just space.
We're a small team. We use Sojourner ourselves, every day. If something feels off, we want to hear about it. If something helped, we'd love to know that too.
Scripture-first
The Bible isn't a sidebar feature — it's a peer to your writing, treated with care and proper attribution.
Quiet by design
No streaks, no shame, no notifications you didn't ask for. The app meets you where you are.
Yours, always
Your entries are yours. We don't sell them, surface them, or use them to train AI models. You can export and delete any time.
